Legendary Fifty ("we," "us," or "our") is a private trip planning platform available at legendaryfifty.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Legendary Fifty:

Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via email/password or Google Sign-In.
Trip data — destinations, dates, itineraries, accommodation details, expenses, photos, chat messages, and notes you enter into the app.
Usage data — basic activity within the app such as trips created and features used, collected through Firebase.

We do not collect payment information. We do not run ads. We do not sell your data.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the trip planning service
To allow you to share trips and collaborate with other members
To send trip invite emails when you share a link
To display weather information for your trip destination (via Open-Meteo, a third-party service)
To show affiliate links to travel and accommodation services (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, SafetyWing, Amazon) — we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through these links

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), operated by Google LLC. Firebase handles encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We do not have direct access to your password — it is hashed and managed by Firebase.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no internet service is 100% secure. Use the service at your own risk.

Third-Party Services

Legendary Fifty uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — authentication and database (privacy policy)
Open-Meteo — weather data, no personal data shared (open-meteo.com)
Affiliate partners — Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, SafetyWing, and Amazon Associates. Clicking affiliate links may set cookies on those platforms per their own privacy policies.

Sharing Your Data

Your trip data is private by default. It is only shared with:

Other members you explicitly invite to a trip
Anyone with access to a public trip (if you set a trip to "Public" visibility)

We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at albertclu@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, and port your data. Contact us at the email above to exercise these rights.

Children's Privacy

Legendary Fifty is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
